Francois Wiss is a French-American musician and producer based in New York City.

Born in Paris in 1973, Francois was raised in a musical family that laid the foundation for a lifelong journey with the guitar. Studying under the guidance of maestros like Belaid Aït Abdallah, Terry Fleming, Juan del Gastor, Mathias Berchadski, and Pierre Culaz, his playing is marked by a blend of technical mastery and raw, emotive improvisation.

Each genre he explores - flamenco, psychedelic rock, Latin rhythms, French chanson, and world music - becomes a doorway to experimentation, an ever-shifting landscape where he connects deeply with the present moment. All serve as a portal to experimentation: a chance to play, improvise, create, take risks, and, for a fleeting moment, tap into a different state of being.

Francois Wiss has performed at countless venues in New York City and the USA; the world-famous Blue Note, Cafe Wha?, B.B. King Blues Club, Groove, City Vineyard, City Winery, The Rainbow Room, Nublu, Jules Bistro, Anyway Cafe, KGB, Highline Ballroom, Subrosa, Bonafide, LSF, to name a few of the most iconic.

Francois Wiss has also been part of numerous projects for theatre, musicals, movies, and has been an educator since 1996.
